After winning the final at the Sony Ericsson Open by taking out Shahar Peer , corporal in the Israeli army, with 7-6 (4) , 6-1, Serena Williams is prepared for a tough test with Justine Henin that won in front of Anna Chakvetadze 6-2, 6-3 acceding to the finals of Key Biscayne. Williams and Henin played before, but never since the 2003 Wimbledon semifinals. Williams has 5 of the 8 matches in her favor, but the Belgian is playing really well: “Justine has been playing some of the best tennis on the tour. She’s doing awesome. This will be a real test of my game” Williams said.
Though Henin plays wonderful now, that even Chakvetadze acknowledged “Justine can mix her game, that’s why she’s No.1″, she might have medical issues after being hindered by a breathing problem, possibly allergies, and is taking medication. Let’s hope we get to see a fierce battle in the big final.
