The ninth crown for Peterhansel

Winner of the 2007 edition , Stephan Peterhansel has just capped a ninth crown (the 3e as a car pilot). The Mitsubishi pilot, associated with, Jean-Paul Cottret his copilot, enjoyed his final victory at the end of the 15e and last stage disputed around the Pink Lake in Dakar. Luc Alphand, also on Mitsubishi, takes the second place of the final general classification, to only 7 min 26 sec away from his fellow-member. Another French, Jean-Louis Schlesser (Schlesser) supplements the podium at the wheel of sound buggy, at 1 a.m. 33 min 57 sec away of Peterhansel.
